Originated in 1893, Felbridge Cricket Club was and still is, a friendly club based at the beautifully maintained (and award winning) Chartham Ground in Felbridge, which borders Surrey and Sussex at the north end of East Grinstead. In 2001 Felbridge Cricket Club and Sunnyside Cricket Club – based at East Court in East Grinstead, joined forces to create Felbridge and Sunnyside C.C. as we now know it.

The club achieved Clubmark Re-accreditation in 2017 and we continue to develop our junior set up as it is the life blood of our club. In 2012 after a huge fundraising effort from the club and generous grants received from various organisations we were able to implement our new nets. This is an excellent facility and will help us to develop our players even further. In 2014 we secured funding to purchase mobile ptich covers which will further enhance the playing experience. Further funding has allowed us to purchase a new roller in 2015 which has helped improve the playing surface and we are close to securing a new square mower. Over the winter of 2017 we have had our square relaid in preparation for the coming season.

The club’s logo shows the Sussex martlets and the Prince of Wales feathers (with his Surrey C.C. connections), separated by the boundary rope. On the Chartham ground with the right bat in your hand, it is possible to hit a cricket ball from Surrey into Sussex, as the county’s borders lie along the bottom end of the park.

The Pavilion with modern kitchen and wood finished bar, is available for private hire. Contact the Bar Manager for further details. Or, if you want to, just come down to the ground on a lovely week-end evening, sit on the bank with your favourite glass and enjoy the sound of leather on willow!

For the 2018 season we will run 4 senior league teams on Saturdays and 2 senior friendly teams on Sundays in more social games; we have a mid-week team who play 20/20, not to mention junior sides from U8 to U16!
In the summer senior nets are held on Wednesday evenings and Junior training is on a Friday. New players are always welcome, both Seniors and Juniors, whether you are a first team superstar, a fourth team stalwart or a young cricketer that is just starting out, we can help you reach your potential whist enjoying your cricket at one of the nicest grounds in the county. Contact our Head Coach or one of the captains for further information.

Firsts secure promotion to division 4 West, we think, and will be looking to add to the squad and continue to build a young side playing a good brand of cricket. With a beautiful ground, good wicket and excellent social we have a great package for potential new players.
2s finish with victory over Scaynes Hill to finish 8th following tough year for availability and we remain in division 8 central next year.
3s win via concession but after a tough year for availability finish 9th and will be relegated. We look to rebuild and bounce back next year.

U11s win first two games of festival week against Lingfield B and Ifield. The week ended with two tough losses to Feltching and Rudgwick. Fletching went on to win the competition.

Saturday 15th September: Junior Presentation evening and BBQ
Friday October 19th: 125th anniversary dinner and presentation.

Members Note: As part of our league affiliation we now have two Sussex CCC membership cards available for all County Championship and 50 over games. If you would like to use them please speak to Peter Brooks.
