Welcome to Felbridge and Sunnyside cc
Welcome to Felbridge and Sunnyside cc play cricket website.
Originated in 1893, Felbridge Cricket Club was and still is, a friendly club based at the beautifully maintained (and award winning) Chartham Ground in Felbridge, which borders Surrey and Sussex at the north end of East Grinstead.
In 2001 Felbridge Cricket Club and Sunnyside Cricket Club – based at East Court in East Grinstead, joined forces to create Felbridge and Sunnyside C.C. as we now know it.
The club’s logo shows the Sussex martlets and the Prince of Wales feathers (with his Surrey C.C. connections), separated by the boundary rope. On the Chartham ground with the right bat in your hand, it is possible to hit a cricket ball from Surrey into Sussex, as the county’s borders lie along the bottom end of the park.
We run 3 league teams on Saturdays and 2 teams play on Sundays in social games; we have a mid-week team who play 20/20 and regular games, not to mention the many junior sides in all the age groups!
Senior nets are held on wednesday evenings – feel free to come down and roll your arm over, we always need new players and we’re a fairly friendly bunch!
Various scheduled social events take place throughout the year, details of which can be found on our website, from Graham’s famous quizzes to Frankie’s fabulous barbeques! All not to be missed
The Pavillion with modern kitchen and wood finished bar, is available for private hire for parties etc. Contact the administrator for further details.
Or, if you want to, just come down to the ground on a lovely week-end evening, sit on the bank with your favourite glass and enjoy the sound of leather on willow!
If you require further information about the club please visit our website at http://www.felbridgeandsunnyside.com/.
